Reanne Rodrigues, Editor in Chief

Reanne is the editor in chief of Dance Business Weekly and Dance Teacher. Having lived in Mumbai, Dubai, London, Toronto, and now New York, she has worked at several leading performing arts organizations including The Joyce Theater and New York City Center. During her tenure as an international editorial member of Dance Gazette magazine, Reanne helped shape the publication’s creative vision, feature content, and marketing and membership framework for over 13,000 dance professionals across 90 countries worldwide. She holds a Master of Arts in Education (Dance) from the University of Bath and the Royal Academy of Dance, UK, a Master of Arts in Media, Culture, and Society from the University of Birmingham, UK, as well as Certified Registered Teaching Status in classical ballet from the Royal Academy of Dance, UK. Contact her at:

Basia Hellwig, Founding Editor

Basia was editor in chief of Dance Retailer News from 2016 to 2019 and wrote for the magazine for almost a decade. She has edited magazines and websites for brands such as Consumer Reports, Reader’s Digest, Scientific American and AARP. She launched and edited Working Woman magazine’s entrepreneurial coverage, which was a National Magazine Award finalist, and created the first website of Catalyst, a nonprofit with a mission to accelerate progress for women at work. Lydia Murray, Managing Editor

Lydia holds a B.A. in philosophy and an M.A. in integrated marketing communication from Marist College. In 2018, she served as an education intern at American Ballet Theatre. The following year, she became the intern program fellow/assistant to the deputy director at Jacob’s Pillow, where she managed the intern program and coordinated the 2019 National Dance Presenters’ Forum. Lydia is a graduate of the Nutmeg Ballet Conservatory and attended summer intensives at Dance Theatre of Harlem and Ballet Hispánico. Contact her at:

Zoe Phillips, Assistant Editor

Zoe began her dance training at the Susan Hayward School of Dance in California, where she completed her graded and vocational examinations with the Royal Academy of Dance. In 2016, she finished her Advanced II with distinction and later competed at the Geneé International Ballet Competition in Sydney, Australia. She then attended the University of Michigan, where she graduated with a B.A. in Spanish and a minor in American Culture. While a student, she taught dance locally and worked as a writer and Managing Editor for The Michigan Daily’s Arts desk. Contact her at:
